Privacy Policy
Last updated: 3 October 2026
myAudience is a general social network at my-audience.com, operated by PrometheusPlatforms LLC (Illinois, United States). For privacy requests, account help or safety concerns, contact admin@prometheusplatforms.ai. This policy explains the information used by the current service, including Google sign-in when enabled.
Information we collect
Account information includes your name, email, unique account identifier, handle, age-eligibility declaration, terms acceptance records and sign-in records. For password accounts we store a salted password hash, rather than the password itself. Account identifiers do not contain your profile details, although their format can indicate when they were created. Providing the required account information is necessary to create and use an account; optional profile fields can be left blank.
We store the information you choose to add: profile and banner images, badges, biography, interests, location text, posts, photos, videos, captions, comments, reactions, messages and Circle contributions. We also store relationships and settings such as friends, follows, blocks, saved items, chosen audiences, language, appearance and feed preferences. Other members may provide information about you in messages, posts or reports.
Our server processes connection information, including IP addresses, requested paths, response status and timestamps, for delivery, security and troubleshooting. Access logs omit URL query strings. We do not request your device's precise location. A place you type into a profile or post is information you choose to provide.
Account setup and verification
Email signup uses a confirmation message to verify control of your primary address. Verification links expire and require an explicit confirmation while signed in to the matching account. We keep restricted verification and delivery records to handle expiry, retries and misuse. Amazon Simple Email Service delivers transactional messages; delivery does not itself establish that an address has been verified.
Optional onboarding can store a phone number and secondary email privately with your account. These are not public profile fields. An unverified phone or secondary email is not a trusted recovery method, login address or contact-discovery key. The current service does not send SMS verification. You can skip optional setup and edit or remove these details later. Providing them does not subscribe you to marketing or upload your contacts.
Google sign-in
For a new Google identity, we temporarily hold its verified email, name and provider identifier while you finish signup. This pending identity cannot use account or social features. Its signup access expires after ten minutes; expired records are removed by subsequent enrollment operations. Cancelling removes your pending record immediately.
If you choose Google sign-in, we request only openid, email and
profile. Google can provide an account identifier, email and verification
status, name and basic profile information such as a profile-picture address. We use the
identifier to recognize or link your account, and the name and verified email to set up
your identity. The current sign-in flow does not copy your Google profile picture into
your myAudience profile or store Google's access or refresh tokens for later API use.
We do not request access to Gmail, Google Contacts, calendars, Drive files or your Google password. We do not sell Google account information, use it for advertising, or use it to train general-purpose AI models. Google receives the sign-in request under its own policies. You can revoke access in your Google Account's connected-app settings; revocation does not itself delete information already stored in myAudience. Contact us to request account or linked-identity removal.
Performance measurements
Signed-in app screens may report elapsed load and rendering times to help us improve reliability. Reports contain only a fixed screen category, milestone and duration. We store hourly totals in duration bands for up to seven days, without URLs, post or message content, contact details, device fingerprints or user identifiers in those aggregates. Session authentication and temporary rate limits still identify the current account when a report is received. Expired bands are removed on reports, dashboard reads and hourly maintenance. Only our designated administrator can view aggregate load measurements. These measurements do not change your feed or infer interests.
Contacts and finding people
Contact lookup is optional. Where your browser supports it, you can choose contacts on your device; otherwise you can type selected email addresses. You review the selected addresses before submitting them. We receive only the reviewed emails for that lookup and do not save them as an address book, build a contact graph or continuously synchronize contacts.
An email matches only a member whose address is verified, who has enabled email discovery and who is eligible under blocking rules. No match does not establish that a person lacks an account. Ordinary partial people search uses permitted profile information, such as names and handles, rather than private email or your address book. The contact-review action prepares an unsent draft in your email app. A separate platform invitation feature can send a reviewed invitation when enabled; sending does not automatically connect accounts.
Platform invitations use the name of the person inviting you and an expiring signup link. The manually entered recipient address is encrypted for delivery and the inviter's own invitation history, and is eligible for removal after 90 days through bounded cleanup. A healthy worker is required; removal is not guaranteed at an exact second. Opening a link or signing up does not accept a friendship: the matching verified recipient chooses whether to connect. Invites expire after seven days. The email includes a stop-invitations link, usable without an account for up to 90 days.
We retain minimal accepted referral attribution and a keyed, nonpublic address identifier to honor invitation opt-outs and delivery suppression. These are not a public contact graph or advertising signals. Contact support for access, deletion or suppression questions. Direct platform invitation sending is currently disabled while its delivery policy is being finalized; this explanation covers the feature when enabled.
Why we use information
We use information to provide accounts, publish content to its selected audience, deliver conversations, manage relationships, find permitted content and people, apply your settings, support requests and protect the service. Where data-protection laws require a legal basis, necessary account and social-service processing is based on providing the service you request; proportionate security and troubleshooting serve our legitimate interests in operating a safe, reliable service; optional discovery and feed learning use your choices and consent where required; legal disclosures use applicable legal obligations. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests by contacting us.
Feed learning is initially off for new accounts. If you enable it, we record capped time that eligible public posts occupy the active foreground viewport, including suggestion cards in search and related-content rows, along with the post identifier, account identifier, date and feed format. This is a weak interest signal, not proof that you read or enjoyed a post. Current likes and saves can also influence topic recommendations. We do not collect this exposure information for private posts, messages or Circles. Only your explicit Helpful, More and Too intense feedback adjusts learned tone preferences. Declared interests, follows and your chosen feeling can shape the feed even when learning is off. Content tone, author intent, your response and inferred preferences are separate signals; they are not a medical diagnosis or a measure of your mental health. You can pause learning, correct or reset preferences and use chronological access. We do not infer emotions from faces, voices, contacts, precise location or health information, or use emotional preferences to target advertisements. Feed ordering does not determine eligibility for credit, employment or other decisions with comparable legal effects.
Exposure and duplicate-request records expire after 30 days and are pruned at startup and hourly while the server runs. Pause stops exposure collection and use of learned interest signals in new feed snapshots. Reset removes exposure records and learned tone preferences; it does not remove your likes, saves, follows or declared interests. The restricted administrator dashboard shows aggregate exposure counts and capped duration, rather than private message content or individual browsing histories. It also reports server resource usage and audited configuration and maintenance actions.
Who can see information
Maintained myAudience editorial learning and interest pages are publicly readable and may appear in search engines. This public discovery library excludes ordinary member posts, private learning progress, followed subjects, contacts, direct messages, personal account setup and invitation or account tokens. Ordinary member content remains governed by its existing audience settings.
Your name, handle and permitted profile fields help other members recognize you. Public content can be seen by the audience permitted by the service; friends, close-friends and Circle controls restrict access according to those settings. Messages are available to authorized conversation participants. Circle administrators can manage membership, and newly accepted members can access retained Circle history. Think carefully before sharing sensitive information: recipients can copy, screenshot or redistribute what they receive. Blocking cannot remove copies others already possess.
The service uses Amazon Web Services hosting in the United States. Authorized operators may access necessary information to handle support, security, abuse or legal requests. Hosting providers process information to operate the infrastructure. We may disclose information when required by law, to address a serious safety or security issue, or to investigate misuse, limited to what is appropriate for that purpose. We do not sell personal information or provide it for targeted advertising. We will disclose any material new recipients or uses before they begin where required.
If you use the service from another country, information is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ. Contact us for information about applicable transfer arrangements and your rights.
Cookies and security
We use a sign-in cookie to keep you authenticated and a short-lived cookie to protect provider sign-in. Session credentials normally expire after seven days; provider sign-in attempts normally expire after ten minutes. Signing out invalidates the current session. Blocking or clearing essential cookies may prevent sign-in. The current service does not use advertising or third-party analytics tracking cookies.
HTTPS, password hashing, access checks and restricted server access help protect information. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. No online service can guarantee complete security; contact us if you suspect unauthorized access.
Optional games
You can turn feed games off in Settings. Private play is the default: it creates no server game session or score record. Shared game links contain only the game and a starting-board seed and are playable without joining.
If you choose to record scores, we store an account-bound game session and verify your submitted moves to calculate your best score. Published scores show either “Anonymous player” or your public display name, as you choose. Anonymous publication still uses your account internally. Choosing private scores removes your stored game sessions and scores. Playing games does not train feed interests or record a post as read.
Retention and your choices
Account information and contributions are retained to provide the service until removed or no longer needed. You can edit profile details, change available audience/discovery settings and delete your own posts. Expiry can hide a Story or other item from normal access without immediately erasing its underlying record or media. Account deletion, exports, removal of linked identities and other requests currently require contacting support; there is no automated account-deletion or export guarantee.
We handle requests after proportionate identity checks and within the deadlines required by applicable law. Some records may need to be retained for security, resolving disputes or legal obligations; we will explain relevant limits rather than promise that every copy disappears immediately. Daily backup copies are configured to retain the latest 14 successful snapshots. Removed information may remain in those restricted recovery copies until they rotate out; this is not a promise of erasure exactly 14 days after a request. Operational and support records are retained while needed for the issue, security or applicable obligations and reviewed for removal when that purpose ends.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a portable copy of, restrict or object to processing of your information, and withdraw optional consent without affecting prior lawful processing. Contact admin@prometheusplatforms.ai to exercise rights. You may also complain to your local privacy authority, including the UK Information Commissioner's Office where applicable. You do not lose applicable rights because you use the beta.
The service is for people aged 16 or older and is not intended for children under 16. The eligibility declaration is not independent age verification. If you believe someone under this age has registered, or someone has shared a young person's private information without permission, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
Changes
We will update the date on this page and explain material changes through the service or another appropriate notice. If a new use requires consent, we will request it before that use; continued use does not replace consent where consent is legally required.
