Archaic sculpture uses conventions that differ from later naturalistic styles. Instead of treating the earlier work as simply a failed attempt at realism, ask about its role, audience and visual choices. A museum label helps establish period and context. Our generated illustration is a reading aid, not a reproduction of a museum object or an authoritative reconstruction of its original surroundings.
